1972 911S 2.4 Yellow

Herewith some first shots of my brand new second hand used car just after collecting from Early 911 yesterday (as always, thanks to Nick, Nick & Richard for their fine work & patience!):

UK RHD car with sunroof, electric windows, rear wiper, chrome wheel arch trims, brown leather & cord sports interior and limited slip diff. with a history file going back to '73.

Pretty much original - certainly never restored - interior is as it left the factory save for some rear lap belts, incorrect headrests and a period, under dash cassette player (positioned right by the left knee! )

We had to drop the engine out as there was a leaking gearbox seal (which was missed by an OPC :x ) so took the opportunity to detail the engine. It's suprising how much of a difference this makes to the engine bay. Very well worth it. :)

Lovely car Steve.
Well done, it looks great.

Well Mr Moss has driven many 2.4S's and he speaks very well of that car.
Some 'drive' just like an S should and by all accounts this one has 'got it'. 8)

I second all those views and having seen her in the metal and been involved in a vicarious way seeing the project come to fruition looking forward to having a go.

Looks to be a smashing car, even with the brown interior!

Should it have the 'large' gear shift pot with the 915 box?
I thought the T's had the small gear shifter (mine did, 73T)

However , all original and unwelded, that is a first!

Bet spring 2010 can't come round soon enough. :drunken:

Do you mean the rubber gaiter? That was defo changed to the larger size for the '73 MY. '72 retained the smaller version, I believe. :)
