Very grateful for all the inputs.

Was getting to a point where I almost wished I hadn't asked . . . But then this morning (my time) I saw a list (was it from Graham?) that brightened up my life.

But tonight (my time), when I finally got a chance to reply - something is wrong!! It appears to have gone from the thread???

Just when I thought I was going to be very clever and use all my new-found knowledge, it has vanished from the radar screen before I got a chance to make a list for future reference.

How can this be? Or was I imagining there was a list? I'm sure I saw it. :?:

In these parts, FMOBN signifies ' great surprise '
It originates from navy ' street talk' and dates back many centuries and apparently refers to a deviant act pertaining to ' My old boots nipper '
“Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three
decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good "..
