I expect the buyer will keep it for a while and let the noise subside then sell it on as a pucka RS again!

Unless it's anyone on here of course. In which case I humbly apologies for the character slight!

Perhaps we should take a straw poll to find out what people on here would have paid for "1316".

To start the ball rollling I would def have bought it at 40. Thought about it and probably bought it at 50. Not bought it at 60.

As Nick has said it's all very complicated with auction houses but I think that £60,900 inclusive of buyers premium probably equates to a bid in the room of just under £55k? or £54k?.
So the seller (after sellers fees, VAT and entry costs) would get less than £50k. Maybe £49k?

And yet, he probably is quite relieved.... :roll:
