Thanks for the help with the pictures, this car must be one of the best when its finished, I have only been involved with the refinishing side, but the car is going to be the subject of a total nut and bolt rebuild.
The shell has almost been almost completely dismantled to cure all the rust, its had floors, complete sill sections, inner arches, battery tray, door skins(coach built) front wings... well the list is endless!.
I took great care with the refinishing and brought all areas to show standard. The colour is L99A saturn gelb and has certainly got proper 70's style! most areas look very original from the underseal to the thick seam sealer replicated on all the interior joins like the boot area. Given the hand finished nature of the car now, I would imagine we have obtained some better results than the factory might of done, but I becomes difficult to not go past this point when given the chance. I cant wait to see this car back on the road in all its glory. G.

May i ask who's car it is?
and i love that colour been thinking that my latest one will end up that colour once i have actually finished the bodywork.

Yeah its a proper period colour, however it does seem to be making a comeback on a few modern cars now.
I dont think I could really give up any details about the customer without his consent so I'll see what he says. G.

Labour of Love I think. Your reward will be in heaven, because it certainly won't be in the value of the car. This level of detailing must have taken an age. Can't wait to see the car in the flesh. Looks like Kevin will have a rival in the concours !!!!

I'm not sure it is that car Stephen as its been in the same ownership almost all its life, I didn't see the number plate either, next time I talk to my customer I'll ask him.
I think "better than new" describes that car well, true testament to the owners love of Porsche for putting the funds into her to complete such a thorough job. G.
