Very lovely indeed, like the colour,very smart.... and specially like the way you`ve replaced the exhaust with rocket launchers. :lol: Tell me more.

Regards, Mike.

I saw this car when it was at Max's. Impressive exhaust! One thing really did confuse me about the decision to put a 911 badge on it though: there is still a whopping great 912 badge on the dash, visible for everyone to see! I guess if you're really that hung up about owning a 912 instead of a 911 then it might be worth changing that as well as just hoping no-one ever asks you to lift the engine lid! :wink: :lol:

Thanks. Good point! It was more for comedy value really with the badge, will change it over at some point. It's had quite alot of work done in the past few months, paintwork, raised the suspension since it was scraping along the ground, lights, weatherseals, rustproofing, electrics etc.

We're off to St Tropez this afternoon, and then up to the Alpes in a few days time - so hopefully it will be reliable!

Hope you have a good trip - nothing like a roadtrip in an old Porsche for a bit of an adventure! Fingers crossed for the weather too. Now get that 912 badge back on the rear and be proud that your petrol consumption on the trip to the Alps will be much less than one of those six-cylinder things :wink:

Just back from France and Italy. Was a great trip, around 2600 miles in total, route was as follows:

London --> Le Mans --> St Tropez --> Cannes --> Grasse --> Castellane --> Tignes --> Courmeyeur --> Reims --> London

Car performed really well. Only issues were the drivers seat back collapsing, speedometer stopped working and lost a centre cap. Nothing major luckily!

What a fantastic trip. Your photos are great. Tell us more about the rsr?

Nothing like a European road trip in a classic 911/912. Your weather looked wonderful.

Love it 8)

Mike

Great looking car. Is it candy apple red ?
Not so sure about holding a classic Porsche meeting on the forecourt of a petrol station :shock:
