Congratulations Mark,

I reckon that the early 3.0 turbos are highly under-rated and look forward to seeing her.

Once I've caught my breath (trying to close a tender) I'll give you a call.

PS - sorry, you missed the container :(

haha, ok! never mind about the container, groupage shipping wont cost too much and i'm not in any real hurry.

slowly need to sort out all the mechanicals to make sure it stops and goes properly.

i am very pleased with the find though, even thought the car isn't as early as i would have liked. from what i gather tthere aren't too many RHD 930 3.0 out there.
Cheers

Well just realised we've been in Singapore for just over a month now (my feet haven't touched the ground) and still no nearer to finding that illusive longhood :(

Anyway this particular GT3 Mk1 is presently for sale and is really encouraging me to sell one of Mrs G's kidneys - what to do

So if anyone is still passing this way and interested in a (pre-grand prix)DDK 'beer & curry' just drop me a pm :)

During my relentless hunt for an early 911, I was recently put in touch with a guy called Dr Billy Tan.

Now bearing in mind I am a complete stranger, I received an email from Billy late last week asking me if I (we) would like to accompany him and Veronica his wife on a Friday night convoy around the F1 Circuit - only catch there was just two seats in his beautiful 356 Cab:

..fortunately, however there was room for us 'three' in Billy's 72 911 RS Hotrod - a wonderful gesture that I certainly couldn't refuse :)

plus we had a few other cars for company:

Billy is a serious 'early' Porsche nut with a fine collection of cars including a 356 Cab, a 356 Coupe, a 356 (presently being restored), a 930 factory flatnose, a Boxster for Veronica and of course the 72 2.7RS hotrod that was kindly lent to me.

So although I'm missing my 72t, Singapore ain't working out too bad albeit I'll have to struggle through the Grand Prix next week

Now isn't that 356 a real beauty in it's unusual factory shade of green.

ah! found it!

i couldn't find the thread in the furture meetups folder but i have stumbled across it here!

Dr. tan sounds like a very nice chap indeed - you'll have to introduce me, i would love to take a look round his 930.

i have seen his car a few times parked up - i can never resist a peer through the windows!
Cheers
