Touch-up paint help

Post by sjm »

Hi all - can anyone advise where is the best place to get Porsche touch-up paint please? It's for a friend of mine who needs a black colour which Porsche reference as L744, for a 2001 996 Turbo.

Any ideas who might have these please? (Apart from Porsche of course, but there is not one local to him)

I got mine at the local motor factor. They still have loads of cellulose paint and are happy to mix up 250ml to a paint code. Cost was less than a 50ml touch up stick from the dealers.
Halfords will do likewise but I found their colour match was way off.

try paintsu4.com or http://auto-paint.co.uk/carpaint/.

Both can mix to a code and provide small tins, or spray cans.

I bought mine at my local body shop using the ref off the car but the aerosol was ****dy expensive, about 16 quid if I remember rightly but the colour is spot on.
