Gary: Yes it will, and with a surprising gap! It is a full 73'' wide.

I have thought of running it naked mainly because i don't like the body colour much.. :albino:

That IS your oil guage in place and to my mind looks just right, even if a bit hidden here!

Realy pleased with the way it's coming together, but only 8 weeks to go and I'm on hols for 2 of those :alien:

Not brave enough.

You must not upset the sponsor.... :albino:

The car has a few bits to go:

Plumb the brakes lines to the rear
Get the -20 size feed pipe for the dry sump
Get the carb jets from Webcom or PMO
Check the electrics
Pour in a gallon and stand back...

Vroooom (I hope)

Set-up suspension with fishing lines (Old Skool stuff)

Finish body mountings and buy some DDK stickers

Only have 5 working weeks worth of time so after this sat racing the Bitza my hillclimbing will stop and my next hill will be in the Lola Porsche.

You have been warned. :alien:

Got a bit more done, and progress is getting faster!

Brakes: Done!
Clutch: Done!
Carb jetting: Done! (thanks in great dollops to PMO)

Looking good Graham !

Why don't you do what many of the VSCC competitors do - arrange a 'firing up' party & invite a bunch of other enthusiasts round to witness (& hopefully celebrate) the inaugural firing up of the engine ?

I am sure a few of my hillclimb friends will come along to the Big Bang especially as they are fully trained Marshals with fire fighting experience and general emergency proceedure veterans...

It's been a long time since I did this kind of thing, so a party it will be.

9 months hard slog so far and only 8 weeks to go.. :drunken:

Bloody cars.

Has anyone noticed there is something 'strange' about hillclimbers?

The Lola Porsche ran this evening!

Needs tuning but it starts and runs well enough, carbs balanced using a bit of tubing.
A million thanks to Jim (the big one below) who helped so much getting it going.

Kripes! :albino:

Well done Graham! Loton Park in June then?

Terry was with us at Wiscombe at the week-end, and he's getting the hillclimb bug again................. :)
He definitely wants to see the Lola running.

That noise must make it all worthwhile! :drunken:

Keep going!
