.
Now that you're adept at posting pictures Roy, it would be great to see more photos of your lovely car.

How about starting a thread in the 'Members' Porsche Gallery' section briefly outlining the history of your ownership & a selection of photos ?

Although we know some of the details, it would be great to have a dedicated thread on the car (& you !) ...

Thanks Guys, I will try soon to put something together that might be of interest. Remember though compared to fully restored to the finest detail my car is just a survivor with even its original battery box floor, 90 % of the sills and original floors and carpets. It does though smell nice inside though if you like old car smell

In captivity for the winter, so the chrome around the doors, rear quarters, hood handle and over riders is off to the chromers, but the Le Mans stickers are long gone.

It’s a lovely car and I’m jealous because mine is waiting for filling, flatting and painting after a year of total body restoration. Not much rust but some very poor accident repairs.

Here's mine:

Image

It's a 1964 356SC with an interesting and varied history. It's got a Shasta/Andy Prill 120bhp race engine, based on a 912 block:

Image

It has at one time been an HSCC race car (and was silver). It was then converted back to road trim and turned blue (presumably holding its breath in indignation). The interior is still a little sporty, with period race seats and traces of the roll-cage installation, but otherwise road-ready.

Image

It has a fat history file, which is probably a good thing. It runs (quite well, I think). It looks fabulous, in my opinion. Obviously, since I own it, it doesn't actually work, as such, but that will hopefully be fixed soon-ish. At the moment it has no working rear lights of any kind, no indicators and almost, but not quite, no working gauges. There will, therefore, be some interesting invoices from the automotive electrician to follow, I expect.

Don't think my car is on this sticky. Very late (#222499) scruffy and used Karmann C in several shades of the wrong colour on the wrong wheels with 1720, webers, 12v w/ alternator, full flow oil filter.
