Painted dash ?

Just wondering when they stopped painting the dash ono 912's ?

mines pretty early but has the ali trim on it.

Hey

I guess just early 65 cars. My car was produced early part of 66 and its an ali trimmed dash.

you could always remove the trim and paint it - I've seen it done before.

I'm sure I've seen a 67 with a painted dash on here. I thought that was when they stopped offering it?

My Polo Red '67 has a black dash but a small scratch reveals the body colour paint underneath...but I guess the whole shell was shot in body colour then the dash was masked and painted black at the factory?

I like the idea of a body coloured dash, but don't think I can jusitfy doing it to a perfectly decent black one

I have a painted dash on my Bahama Yellow '67.

From closer inspection of some older photos I was given when i bought the car, it did have a black dash originally. Obviously the previous owner stripped the black to reveal the exterior colour. I much prefer the body colour dash on my particular car.

been in the workshop all day finishing off stripping the car and thought i would try a bit of nitromorse on the dash

just a quick brush on then wipe off and a bit of G3 and its back to OG paint

think im gonna keep it body colour when i repaint it

I have a painted dash on my Bahama Yellow '67.

Thats the car I was thinking of. Body coloured dash is definately the way to go. Looks great in Bahama yellow.

PLEASE, I beg of you all. Can anyone post a photo of a 3 gauge painted dash of a 912.

I need an 'Eyecandy' fix and IMHO a 3 gauge dash is a thing of great beauty
