Advance Sale: 1970 911T, stripped and restored (SOLD)
Hi,
We are currently restoring a 1970 LHD 911T that is due to be sold on completion. I am advertising it now as it is going into the body shop section next week and thus if required a buyer could choose a colour of their choice. The original colour is Ivory White and it is an original matching numbered car.
This 911 was imported from the US and has 32k miles on the car from new. The shell was fully stripped and found to require a rear wing and outer sills. These have been replaced using factory Porsche panels (plus we also replaced the inner sills). The outer shell has been blasted/stripped to bare metal. The shell has been placed on the spit and turned upside down and the floors have been stripped and resealed as per factory finished. There is no rust on the car.
All the suspension has been stripped and refurbished. All the brakes are new (rebuilt calipers, all new lines, flexi pipes, new master cylinder, new discs and pads), all new suspension bushes throughout, all new wheel bearings, new front shock inserts and rear shocks, all new door and window rubbers, new carpets, new trunk carpet, new headliner, fresh chrome work, 2 new batteries, fully rebuilt drive shafts with new CV joints, rebuilt and refurbished handbrake, gear stick and pedal assembly etc. New exterior trim, new screen inserts, 5 x correct deep 6 fuchs which have been stripped re-anodised and detailed, 5 new correct 185/70 Pirelli CN36 tires, new headlights, all new lenses, stripped and refurbed oil tank and fuel tank, new oil/fuel lines, all nuts and bolts re-plated etc
The motor has been checked and fitted with SSIs heat exchangers, new exhaust and detailed.
All other original parts eg tinted glass, dash, gauges, are in good condition as you would expect from a 32k mile car.
The price is £25k.
Please call or email any questions.
Thanks
Alan

Congrats Ben - should be stunning when it's completed. Are you keeping it in its original colour
Please show us some photos of the finished article - I'm sure Alan will make a cracking job of this.
Good luck with your patience!

I will be keeping the car in stock colour Ivory White.
I believe white is now the new Silver!!!
- Alan is already doing a great job of sourcing parts for the car which will be as stock as possible.
I may install some replica seats and store the originals,
Also will have Alan remove the Marelli distributor and store for originality purposes and install a Bosch adapted for the job for ease of replacement parts.
Zeniths with stay until they become a problem (if ever).
Also I will get Alan to install seat belts in the rear and see if I cant hunt down some child seats which will fit back there - anyone.....?
Rgds Ben

regarding the car seats:
there are a couple of posts on here about car seats which you'll be able to search for, however:
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165763
I tried mine ( well my twins ) in Jamies RHD T and they fitted beautifully - you'll need a 3point harness mind you, and they arent cheap... but I expect they are less money than porsche ones AND you can get them in Ferrari (ehem..'scuse me ) Porsche guards red.
nice one on the sale Alan.... when are you doing a RHD??
