GT Porsche mag

8) I have seen this before but thought oh well but then I read it again this month because of a 964 write up.. yep looking at a Modern Porker..

Anyway if you read the rear section of GTP the section where it says about the models for some reason only seamingly known to the writer the 912 only came in a 2.0ltr motor and then it was a stripped out 911 interior..?

as we know they were 1596cc engines and more important they were not stripped out 911 interiors they were 99% the same as the 911.. via any optional extra's which were also available to the 912

also one for Rick here the 912E was made in the following numbers 2099 and not 2000 as stated in the mag..

it also does not state the SWB and LWB ...

rant over back in box .... 8)

Now I am really confused. :(

Why?

Dr B Johnson's excellent book tells me I should have a 1582cc engine. And that chimes with the car's body number.

But, my K Registration Certificate quotes 1598cc...but now you mention 1596.

Help

That's what I thought...I just accept that the Registration Cert is wrong! But at least it's under 1600cc for most motor sports classes!

I was just posting in a figure under 1600

But any one else read about our 2.0ltr 912's from 65-69 :?

anyway if the tax changes and classic's over 1600 have to pay tax we are all ok 8)
