Restoration tips please !

Post by Rustbucket »

Copied and pasted from 356 forum....

Ok, I have an old 356b coupe, '61 LHD.
Its a shed, and even the chickens have left!

Anyway, after lots of skrimping and saving, I have these parts now to start:
Complete floor pan (2 halfs)
Side Longitudinals
floor pan surround edging
L+R rocker panels
rear arches (cheers KK)
numerous floor fittings
Now my arm and leg have grown back I can start doing the welding and cutting properly-
From what I have read, the Longitudinals kind of tuck in between the rocker panels and the inner floor surround , so I was wondering if anybody had any advice on which bits to do first- I guess start with cutting the floor out, and doing that first ?
Any advice welcome !

Dan

Still looking for my resto candidate so will read the responses with interest.

There is a new book by Jim Kellog which I am waiting for which should go a long way to answer all our questions (hopefully!)

Still waiting for mine, thank you Royal Mail
