Hi,

We have just made up a batch of grey trunk carpets sets. I needed a few for some restos and decided to make our own.
The kit comes in three pieces, we double line the entire centre section so it is nice and ridged and thus keeps a nice shape in the trunk rather than flop about. The centre section also has the correct pocket for support piece, (plus the actual support piece) and has two poppers at the top. The side sections come with fastening poppers and come with either the cut out for the brake reservoir or without for the 67 cars.

Here are some pictures of a set being fitted into a 1970 car.

Price £65 plus VAT & P&P which includes the 3 sections and the wood insert.

Thanks in advance

Alan

Alan, what exactly is the support piece pocket there for?

For the support piece  .

I assume it's to stiffen the un-supported part of the carpet? Not seen one before though: were they standard originally, or is this an Alan modification?

Look stonking value to me, BTW. When I think how I got my little brother to clean the mouse wee and poo out of the red 'E''s boot carpet. Came out O.K., but there's nothing like brand new carpets (nice smell :drunken: ).

Yes, the pocket on the underside was standard on the original underbonnet (main) carpet piece - a thin piece of plywood (as can be seen poking out of the end of the pocket in Alan's photo) slotted in there to support the carpet over the top of the spare wheel.

I have the original carpet in my car & always wondered what the pocket was for ..... looks like I better remove my secret stash of jellybabies from it & cut a nice bit of wood to fit :)

I have no carpet, but I have the bit of ply

Unfortunately you've caught me in the middle of a financial crisis, so I'll have to pass this time. However it is just what I need :(

Hi,

If you're missing just the ply we have some spare and vice versa if you need just one piece of the carpet just let me know.

Thanks

Alan

It looks like we need to make some more as most are now sold. I should have the next batch made this week.

Thanks
