The rest of the hill was equally clumsily driven too, not my best... :?

maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.

That was a hot day!
Thank you for the kind words Gary.

It was to be a very lurid run up my least favorite hill to drive, Shelsley Walsh, and my closest rival, Mike Luck in the TVR was 'on it', and critical points were at stake.in the Championship.
Tense.....
But, won the runs far more than expected as other usually much faster class mates faded due to reliability, "to win, first you have to finish".

It is a great little club racer, and this year I will have hillclimbed the Lola longer than my 911 in which I started in 1991.
Not sure just how many more years are in me and the car, but the tide will turn this year with Mike bringing a far more appropriate and focused car to the class. Ouch.

Still, 5 Championship class wins in 6 years can't be bad. :bounce:
