How much!!, I can't believe the insurance paid out over £30k.

A well known car, previously owned by Richkaz. He sold it in November 2007. The Douglas Valley text is the usual over-hyped nonsense, the payout would have been around £25K max. Not sure why it would have been written off unless there is something we can't see.

It's on Ebay too - with 5 days left.

How sad. My old car in such a state . I sincerely hope the driver / passenger were OK .
To my knowledge the car never had a full restoration within the last 5 years. It had been sympathetically restored as required and was a wonderful driver in A1 original condition. The car had been ' mothered 'and was appraised by Peter Morgan on behalf of the purchaser before sale. Really don't understand the asking price if it was an insurance write off, but it was a real peach. Those big Webers gave it a lovely sound and it was much quicker than 130 BHP suggests
