the pridicted rain held off, infact the sun shone all the way.

shame i had to sell the newly aquired white 914 to finance this purchase but i just couldn't resist it.

nice...was tempted myself but it suits you so much better Helen...I'll have to pop over when the RSR gets here...did you sort your trade plates out?

Hi Jason, No DVLA very kindly managed to swop our appointment with someone else from tuesday afternoon to Thursday morning. infact theyhave been very helpful....once we got to speak to the right person.

so fingers are firmly crossed that the 356c sails through the inspection then i'll hve two 356s to play with if the C drive anything like as sweetly as this Apal does then i shall be a very happy girl indeed.

well its getting well pampered now. Larry's Zymoling it and i've got the cabin cover spread out on the kitchen floor half way through dying it back to black. then i'll water proof it.
we have managed to stretch the roof almost closed (just about anough to clip) a few more sessions stretching i think we'll have it in place properly. its in very good condition just need blackening and water proofing.

BTW i can't believe how comftable/supportive those seats are. have a feeling i'm going to be driving this car alot.

yes i'm pretty chuffed with it. keep sneaking oout to the garage ffor a peek.

I was told to put a heat source in the cabin and get the fabric warm when trying to fit the hood.
Goes against the grain though - my belief is that the hood should NEVER be used, and I never used it.
But - it ain't my car any more....

don't expect we'll use it much either, just like to know it works. oh and please don't be offended by Lazza cleaning it. its his way of bonding with things he does it with Brand new cars too.

Nice is an understatment. its superb and you all know how fussy i am.

leathers all been treated, hub caps fitted and a shinny new DDKgrill badge attached to the grill..

just been for a 30 mile drive and visited theApals birth place...the grarage is still there. we will visit when they are open and see is anyone remembers building the car.

the kit came from Germany but was put togeather here in the Midlands. in the late 70s.

But it had a refit in the 90s then a new Beetle engine fitted not long ago.. infact according to the records we still have a couple of 100 miles to put on it before its considered run in .
