With the ever expanding DDK creche

I'm sure there are a few people using their 911 to transport their children in - my son is about to grow out of his rear facing seat (he's just turned 9 months) so I now need to buy a forward facing one that will fit in the rear seats - what brand/model are folks using? (pics would be great

) I quiet like the Recaro young sport but havent tried it to see if it will fit yet

Because the seats are so narrow the best bet is a Porsche Prince seat. It has a foam 'desk' thing that goes across the childs front and works with 3 or 2 point belts - though I did swap my 2 point inertia reels over for a fixed length belt - it was a bit more secure that way. I'm not sure if a 9 month old could use it - I think my son used it from about 1 year onwards. He's nearly 6 now and he's just about outgrown it - it may appear on the classified page soon
Some people have said that a britax freeway would fit. I bought one but wasn't happy with it in the back of my SC. Perhaps it would have been better with 3 point belts.
There's quite a few threads over on pelican about seats.
Cheers - Stefan

I use a britax freeway with a 3 point rear belt which fits OK
Personally wouldn't put a child in it ( or any forward facing seat in the rear of a Porsche ) until nearer 1 years of age & they can support their heads really well , this is because the rear seats are very upright.
My eldest daughter uses a Maxi Cosi Rodi ( the narrow version).
Here is a pic from a couple of years ago. Youngest now uses the Maxi Cosi
Now have nice original recaros fitted so kids are banned from having their feet on the seats

ebay, and yes they will fit once you have lap belts.
I had one for a while but my daughter hated it with a passion and refused to go in it ..... I think she found it too restrictive

you can't buy them new anymore.
They can go for up to £350
I think I sold mine for around £120, but that was years ago

Best thing would be to invest in some 3 point rear belts 1st because even if you don't find a seat suitable for the little one, once they grow up & can use a booster seat there are more to choose from

Actually have the 3-points installed already - picture was old. Why, does that open up my options do you think. I tried the Britax route at all my local shops and nobody stocked them.

There's another seat on
ebay with the Teddy Bear material
The great thing about the Prince seat is it also fits in that back of Sonja's lowlight Ghia with just a lap belt (and the Passat and the Caravelle and... )

I also use a Römer Prince, because Römer is the manufacturer of this child seat. They made them in special spec for Porsche and Mercedes in the '80s. Which at the same time means they don't live up to today's modern safety standards. But this model is the best option I've found sofar.
