Ladies and Gentlemen of the house, the time is now upon us to announce the details for the DDK Welsh Tour 2008 :)

The tour will take place over the weekend of 12th / 13th / 14th September and the base for the trip will be in Llangollen, which nestles within the Dee Valley in North East Wales. Our accommodation is the Chainbridge Hotel http://www.chainbridgehotel.com and we have managed to negotiate a DDK special price of £55 per person per night, for dinner, bed and breakfast. Based on the numbers which initially were interested we have booked the full hotel, BUT booking will be on a first come first served basis and being on the initial interest list does not guarantee you a room!
However, in the light that the numbers seem to be increasing all the time, I have arranged with the Hotel that we can use both of their other Hotels as an overflow (they are just down the road from each other), and the Hotel will provide a mini bus service to / from these to the Chainbridge so we can all eat and have a drink together.

The Hotel needs a £25 (per person) deposit ASAP and the balance paid when you checkout.

The hotel can be booked on 01978 860215 and you need mention DDK when booking!

The rough itinerary for the weekend is;
Friday 12th: evening : Meet up and dinner at the Chainbridge hotel.

Saturday 13th: Full day of driving (South Wales, Elan Valley etc), scenic stops, pub lunch, evening meal back at the hotel

Sunday 14th: Full day of driving, scenic stops, pub lunch, evening meal back at hotel for those stopping another night.

This is going to be an excellent end to the summer season and a great chance to catch up again.

Excellent, I'll give them a call and book tomorrow. Rich, the link to the hotel is a 404. You just need to remove the comma. :)
