CLM Portsmouth LD Lines

I'm not bothered about going on my own on the Ferry but I can't understand why every one's setting fire to £90 by going Brittany Ferries..
LD Lines £124 any one else going? I am going on Wednesday night

Mark - doesn't the LD Lines ferry from Portsmouth go to Le Havre not Caen ?

I looked at the spec of the ship used by LD, and it looks to be a bit of a nautical hot-potato, having spent a lot of its time layed up.
For the extra, I personally thought that I'd rather enjoy the much more recent, hull-stabilised Brittany fleet
.
BTW, anyone know if the LD ship is stabilised, or is it a vomit-vessel

I am planning to go Thursday night - probably LD lines as everything else seems booked up.

The Brittany ferry has an excellent bar, normally with some form of entertainment . . . it's like a very mini cruise. The cabins are good.
Generally I have never had a reason to complain which is rare these days.

Anyone going from Pompey - who gets lost or needs tools etc etc (to borrow!!) Or a secure garage space (or two) before the ferry give me shout, don't be shy!

yeah like wise last time we had a gathering at my local pub
a sort of last supper ( well decent English Grub before camp food and too much beer... )
