1970 ('71MY) 911T Targa *SOLD*
1970 ('71MY) 911T Targa *SOLD*
I've owned this Targa for only a little over 2 months but I'm reluctantly having to put it up for sale.
I bought it from a good friend, it was previously advertised on here, and he had it for about 18 months (he has moved to Oz)
I have basically copied his advert as it worked for me last time!
Here is a breakdown of the work that has been done on it (Mostly by the restorer Conrad).
September 1970 911 T Targa. 2.2
Extensive restoration by previous owner to a very high standard:
BODY
The body has been stripped, grit blasted, repaired and repainted to a very high standard (Colour code 6210-L).
All body panels (bonnet, front wings, front inner wings, doors, rear quarters, rear inner wings, sills, engine lid, rear panel and rear bumper) are in excellent condition. The Targa roof has been renovated with cloth rather than plastic covering. The chassis and floor is in excellent condition with black stone chip applied to all areas.
EXTERIOR TRIM
Over riders, door chrome, s trim, head light surrounds, air intakes all in excellent condition.
New rubber seals throughout.
WINDOWS/ WINDSCREEN
All in good condition.
LIGHTS
New front and rear indicator/light units. All bonnet/interior lights work.
INTERIOR TRIM
Interior by O’Rouke coach trimmers. RS style door panels. New carpet throughout. Front seats a bit worn.
MECHANICAL
Engine was rebuilt by GCS in Monks Gate approx 8,000 miles ago. Turbo rocker covers and Carrera cam chain tensioners have been fitted, plated fixings and powder coated tin ware. Pulls like a train!
Heat exchangers are stainless steel, silencer is stainless steel with twin outlet.
Both the front and rear suspension have been rebuilt with new parts as has the brake system.
Rims are replicas (eagles) 7” x 15 Fuchs all round. Spare replica Fuchs.
Gearbox is 5 speed 911 dogleg with short shift kit fitted.
Recent clutch (Looked new when the engine was rebuilt)
GENERAL
JVC CD head unit, Infinity speakers.
Central locking (external and internal)
Toad immobilizer
Previously assessed by Nick Moss, full report available.
Agreed insurance value £20,000.
2nd baby and too many cars force sale.
Has been previously serviced by Paul at Jota Engineering in Surrey. I haven't had it serviced as I have done so few miles.
It has current MOT until September but will be sold with new MOT.
Price is £14,950
Here are some pics.

As you know Martin, I have always been a fan of this car and having another look at it in the flesh on Sunday at the British Volkswagen Festival I can only suggest to anybody interested that you go and view the quality of the paint and body and work carried out - it's a lovely car.

Can Only confirm what Nick and Martin have said, I sold the car to Martin a couple of months ago only to finance the move to Aus.. If I had know the wife would have turned around and wanted to come come back in a year I would have kept the car.. best thing I have owned and biggest regret I have had. Whoever get it will be a Cheshire cat for years

Wowowowow, what did I see sneaking in here then? '89 944 turbo
Crickey, I was looking at complementing the stable with a mofo merc 380 SLC but I might have to go for a proper stuttgart watercooler to fit in.
