ummmm............the 914 wont be at Biggar now. Strut insets up front are completely knackered. Car was bouncing againts the Bump stops today as only suspension up front was from torsion bars. Need to get new ones and wont be able to get them and have them fitted by Friday :x

It looks like I may just have to pop over in my Toyota

Well today I decided to uncover the 14, I cant wait for the better weather so I can start enjoying it again.

Had a little spring cleaning to do on the car. I couldnt do anything else today due to there being no power in the farmhouse (Thanks Scottish Power  ) and not being able to use my PC.

luckily the garage has a generator :)

The car is almost shiney enough to venture out into the world again 8)

These 914's are really starting to grow on me and after reading the article in Classic & Sports and seeing that they value them very reasonably I hit Export 56's website to see whether the yellow one (the one in the article) was still available - and it is!!!

Unfortunately, the price is £33k - more than three times C&SC's 'value now' price...

Not fair getting a guy all worked up like that...

:?

Oh, Racecraft76 - that's one gorgeous shade of blue, btw. Is it Gulf? Although it looks quite torqouise (!) sometimes :?:

Hours of loving work!! Great job!
Do you have the paint code? From the definitive color (note spelling) site, it looks close to Laguna Blue or in some pix Olympic Blue, which would be the '73 colour. Have a look at this http://homepage.mac.com/markd/914/colors.html

if you haven't seen it already
