914/6 Bursch silencer

Post by Lightweight_911 »

The silencer appears to be brand new - still has original paint & sticker on it.

Only minor defect is a slight discolouring of the chrome on the tip of the tailpipe.

Ian - the Bursch exhaust was included in the spares package with my car.

It's currently fitted with megaphones:

which are very loud - much louder than my 911R-inspired car !

I need to put a quieter exhaust on to get it through an MOT (as well as fit a handbrake !) so I am probably going to fit a std 914/6 silencer (or a 911 one) initially.

What are you going to do for a handbrake Andy?

isn't it running 3.2 brakes?

those megaphone look great but I can't imagine they meet noise regs anywhere and would probably need to be a bit shorter too!

I have used a standard 911 rear silencer on my car - fitted fine
1966 912 Karmann Coupe - polo red.
1972 914/6 GT replica - 2.7 - signal orange.
1961 Standard 217 Tractor.
