I assume that they do race the car though.
You could always repaint/repair it if it needed it!

And now we have to repeat the whole process on the other side of the car of course! I learn't a lesson from doing the passenger side and bought a good door rather than spending weeks sorting out the original one (never again!).

The sill of course was just a touch rusty!
Image

And so was the B post.
Image

So we welded a new B post in, but what to?
Image

Had to do one or two repairs as well.
Image

I keep saying to myself that the welding will be finished soon, just another week or so.........

Sorry it has taken me so long to give an update on the restoration. I have been distracted by impending house moves and other cars!

Some more pictures of rust!
Front wheel arch needed some attention.

Image

Image

As did the rear wheel arch of course.

Image

But some parts are now well on their way.

And the dashboard is looking pretty cool.

Forgot to say that I can't get over how straight the panels are compared to before. It's a miracle!

After 283 days and several barrow loads of cash spent my coupe emerged from the workshop last night with it's panels all on. Oh my God!

Now all I have to do is put it back together......when I have a garage to work in.
