DDK At Le Mans Classic 06: The Movie (release date)

Post by 23e Heure »

:director:
As many of you know, we have been working on a DVD of the club's trip to this year's Le Mans Classic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jV21YKq093k
The aim was to have the film finished, the DVD authored, the masters to replicators, and the finished packaged discs
back and ready for the club to buy in time as Christmas stocking fillers (mostly, I suspect, to ourselves!)...
Well, best laid plans and all that. We have had a couple of behind the scenes nightmares (a major disk failure on
one of the edit machines lost us several weeks' work), and despite Justin's heroic allnighters trying to catch up,
we missed the deadline.
:director2:

What I can tell you is not only does the film look slick, but more importantly the club presence and all our cars look fanastic.

Using our own footage, and some great shots sent to us for inclusion by generous club members, the DVD will include:
*The DDK in convoy... on the road to Le Mans*
*Awesome racing footage... in the thick of it action*
*Buckets of campsite banter... starring many a DDK regular*
*Paddock tour close ups... smell that Castrol R!*
*All topped off with our two glorious parade laps of the circuit, shot from 6 DDK 911s, featuring flat out footage of many
members' cars 8) *

I'll be giving sneak previews of the film to those coming to the Southern dinner at the Orange Tree on Wednesday,
but we expect the DVD to be ready for sale late Jan/early Feb... In time to give to your loved ones as Valentine's presents!

In the meantime, here's a link to a new teaser:

Phil... you're on there, Bootsy's on there.
Mike, Viv, Peter, and Dyno are on there.
Charlotte, Tanick, Orangeperil, Willbrown. They are on there.
NickMoss, Barry, RS-911, Luke, MDR. They get their turn on camera.
BJMullan, 210bhp, Hot66, PMJT? Can't miss them...
It's the DDK, and if you're not on there but were at LMC, you must have been hiding!

Worry not, it's the cars we are looking at, not the behaviour of the drivers
