Serial 911 owner...

Post by stuttgart900 »

On to my 3rd 911 - just don't seem to be able to do without.

The latest one is a LHD 1972 911T Targa in sexy black (yeah baby). It seems to have spend most of its recent life in the Bahamas, and has been in the UK about 4 years and it seems to go OK. I try to use it as much as possible so long as the weather ain't too bad. I live in Twickenham, West London so if you see a black '72 911 targa its probably me (or some other bloke with a similar car).

Also thanks to the chap on the motorbike at the traffic lights who put me on to you'all.

On another note, does anyone know any good mechanics who deal with early 911's around W. London? I used to do all my own stuff, but now have a family and lots of work so I have no time - any suggestions??

*as if by magic a W Londoner appeared*

Welcome - yes indeed Helen is quite correct - we're having our get together this month in the Orange Tree, Richmond on Weds (20th) feel free to come and join us (usually in the Fairmile, Cobham).

As for servicing - Chris Turner is a regular SW London DDK'er and has been used by a lot of folks (he'll be there Weds) there is also JAZ in Wembley.

For specialist engine tweeking etc etc some of the guys use Neil Bainbridge in Aylesbury.

PM if you need contact details

Look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings!
