DDK Annual Charity 2006 - final amount

Post by Bootsy »

As we approach the end of 2006 I felt it was a good time to publish the final amount that we have raised for MacMillan Cancer Relief during 2006.

£9127.50

Pat yourselves on the back! Special thanks to pmjt for his generous donation of our auction car, FerryMan for his innovative keyring initiative, Sue Blow for the donation of copies of her book and Hot66 for pushing the sales of these - plus of course each and everyone of you who donated!

On a personal point it makes me feel so proud that our little community of like minded people not only brings a lot of fun and assistance but makes a difference to those who need it.

We'll nominate a 2007 charity very soon.

Thanks again.

Awesome! When you add Gift Aid, that's a very tidy sum indeed :).

Well done to everybody involved.

Macmillan Cancer Support

Post by rafiki »

A brilliant total...but please do not forget that Carolyn and I will still be collecting for Macmillan Cancer Support until June 2007, whatever the 2007 charity may be. :) See the 912 pages.

All explained on either www.justgiving.com/capetocape 2007 or from now also being updated on www.pr4motorsport.com

Charity funds

Post by rafiki »

Now here's a thing...

As a DDK member currently raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of a marathon drive in my 912...could my total not be added to the overall total?

Surely it matters not how the money is collected...just that it is being collected by a DDK member? By 31 Dec, that could bring the complete total to around £10,000.

Any comments, people?

And we are still collecting.
