914-4 Rocker Covers

Post by hughicol »

Has anyone out there have or know where to obtain a pair of rockers covers for my 914 as mine have holes in them?

I have pair, a few scuffs and a touch of surface rust but no holes. Good clean up and they'll be like new.

I had promised these to another DDK'er but its all got lost in the ether somewhere. £20 inc postage

Oh SSHHHH...HECK!

That was me :oops:

I'm very sorry not to have followed this up, Nige - life just gets in the way sometimes. :|

Please regard Dave as having first dibs on them, and I'll take them from you if he doesn't want them (if you'll still sell them to me).

Embarrassed,

Carl

Coward.

Dave, as far as I'm concerned it's my own damn fault and they are yours if you want them - your need is probably greater than mine, as mine don't actually leak through the repaired hole (all my oil falls out of the push rod tube seals before it gets near the rocker covers).

I've also got a very clean pair, so if either Dave or Carl still want a pair let me know :)

So, to clarify :lol: :

Carl had leaky holes in his, and agreed to take Nige's old ones off him, but they both got distracted and forgot;

Dave asked for help with his tatty ones, and Nige offered to help;

Carl remembered the previous agreement and got all embarrassed when it was made public;

Darren jumped in, offering the use of his nicely buffed, continental pair;

Result?

Dave has bought Nige's;

Carl has bought Darren's;

All happy and hole-free.

Ahhhh...that's better.

Fibreglass - I didn't know you could!

If you only need one, and you aren't in a hurry, I think only one of mine is holed - I could check the condition of the other and we'll price it in accordance to the deals that have gone on here (ie not much).

I assume they are not 'handed', and that any cover will fit any side?

I am still amazed at the speed that I get answers on this site. So far everything I have asked for or asked about has received a prompt reply and help. Best Club I have ever had the fortune to belong to.

Thanks Boys and Girls

cos most of us just laze about in front a computer all day, there is a rumour that there are some 'Geeks' who are DDK members and show just too much white sock.

There is a level of white sock showing that is recognised as 'too much'? :shock:

How about miss-matched primary-coloured towelling socks and a comedy tie - are they still cool?

I'm going to have to find one of those girl creatures to talk to and ask them if it's true (if I can stop stuttering long enough).
