Nice looking car! Do you mean you want to build it into an ST or you want that ST (its only £200K BTW)

Nick, Hope you aren't mad i ripped off your pic, but that car does look fantastic from every angle! I would love to take you up on your kind offer but I am short 200k....
My plan is to keep the black 71 T as 'stock' as possible because it is in great condition (20 years in Texas) plus full service history from 71 and only 74 ,00 miles. However, I am looking to 'create' something like that ST over the next few years. (I haven't even found a car to start on yet). The question is, do i cut up an early 911 shell to look like it (flares etc )or go for the G50 3.2 Carrera and backdate to look like an ST. This is the first problem! I want to use it for track days, high days and some touring type rallying. oh and hopefully it will work out cheaper than 200K!!

I am building a replica at the moment from a 1971 911S, but it could just as easily be done from a 3.2 as most of the exterior panels are changed. I will be updating my website later this evening if you want to have a look at the latest progress.

Will do. I saw Alun (DynoSoar) at Le Mans and you do get an awful lot of extra shove plus all the suspension upgrades by plumming for the Carrera instead of the early car. Plus galvanising. The only issue I have is whether to lum for the orange paintwork or the two tone Silver and orange of the 68 TR that was at autofarm for a while. The looks nice as well. How easy are those front wings (ST) to get hold off and fit? Does the original ST have 15 inch 7's on the front and 8 on the back or is it 8 and 9's? Rich
