Jason - I think you would be better starting a new thread on this Targa.

Hi,

Quick update.
New parts have started to arrive so things can progress again. I have picked up the newly rebuilt alternator so the motor is now complete. The wheels have been polished and are of to be anodised (picked up the re-plated suspension parts whilst there). All the new bushes, bearings and ball joints are here so the suspension can be put back together. Rather than buy new I also had the original nuts polished and these will be re-anodised black. Sad I know

Hope to have the shell in primer by the weekend, so will try and get some more pics soon.

Alan

New (re-furbished) alternator with new 16 x 1 nut (I have had 20 made as these are really hard to find.

This looks as though it's heading for the record as the fastest early 911 restoration...

Hi,

The front suspension is now back together with new strut inserts, ball joints, discs, brakes lines , bushes. Things are progressing well, but as with any resto there is always more to do. For me the art is in working on several areas all at the same time.

Thanks

Alan

So Alan, the speed you go at, I'm guessing there's maybe half an hour between those shots?
