SPA trackday and Nurburgring 2007?

Post by fine69 »

OK guys and gals may be this subject line will be more interesting that run to Ardennes and Eifel 2007?

Anybody up for it. I would try and organise a fun packed weekend. The real reason is I want my Dad to brave the continent in his 3ltr Carrera

Hi nick,

Okay..... I would be up for that but it is subject to a set of fresh Bilsteins and some S003's on my car. I probably will have some bodywork done over winter as well timing/money/ bodywork specialists permitting: do you have something in mind for april or may 2007?

Because there might be a norfolk run (yeah right  ), Techno Classica Essen (april), a DDK very very oop north event (may?), the porsche and ferrari days at Spa (may 2007), potentially a classic le mans (june 2007) if not the 24hr du mans (early june 2007), a TIPEC event (Usually July 2007), Goodwood breakfast clubs (each month at least one), Oldtimer Grand Prix @ nuerburgring (august 2007), Silverstone classic festival (is it running in August 2007?), PCGB festival and that is just off the top of my head.

I braved the continent a few times in my carrera 3.0 and umm, suffice to say that spoilers do come in handy.

Best regards,

SPA trackday and Nurburgring 2007?

Post by fine69 »

I was thinking more like September. However, the Porsche Days at Spa would be an easy option. Problem is for the last two years they have clashed with another event that I never miss. I understand the Porsche days are getting bigger and bigger. The track more and more crowded. I was therefore thinking of asking the Francorchamps club if we could gatecrash one of their other track days in September.

We'd best wait for their club dates to be published. Probably sometime in December. If the Porsche days change weekends then that could be the best bet.

I've just had my suspension rebuilt and S brakes fitted. So am itching to get on Spa again

You never know I might even get around to a 2.7 or 3ltr motor. Would be fun with the 15" Fuchs

Bert - there is no Classic Le Mans in 2007 - they are a biannual event

I'd be interested in this trip too 8)

Spa & Ring thing

Post by Jon Kent »

I'd be interested also.
I'm lucky enough to be 1.5 hours from either.
Maybe join it with a trip to the Moselle side of Luxembourg ?
I offer a BBQ evening if so (my road could do with more Porsches on it...only 4 for the moment, okay, 3 are mine ;-D).

Hi All,

Just a quick line to say I haven't forgotten this one. Just been bogged down with work. Still waiting for Porsche Club Francorchamps to publish their agenda for 2007.

Have a great Christmas.

SPA DATES 2007

Post by fine69 »

Happy Christmas all.

The Francorchamps Porsche Club has published its dates for 2007 on its website www.porscheclubfrancorchamps.be

The Spa Porsche Weekend is set for May Bank Holiday weekend (clashing with Scotland run).

If anybody fancies making a long weekend of it later in the year when they are organising track sessions on Wed 29th August and Sat 29th September. If there's enough interest I can liaise with them to see if we could join them. As discussed we could then include runs around the Ardennes, Eifel and Mosel.. including the Ring.

So how about a show of hands? Ayes to the right, nays to the left.......

Hi Ian,

No worries there. You won't be the only one. I'll put you down. May be you can convince my parents to make the trip too (in their car) :-)

All the best,
