I planning to view a K plate Audi 100 locally, its a Quattro 3.6 V8 with 120k on the clock, £900!!

Anyone have any experience of these?

I like Corrados but I fancy a big(ish) ass bus of a car

We had a 100 Quattro of that sort of vintage - a 2.2i, I think, at work for a while. It was massive and very solid, but a bit depressingly black and shiney and plastic inside, and while it would cover ground quickly enough, it always felt a real effort to drive - a symptom of the weight Vs engine, clearly. I'm sure a bigger engine would change that perception. And the interior was very soggy and velour / corderoy in a way that didn't appeal - a sportier spec would help there too, I'm sure.

The only issue I remember with it was when driving it back from a meeting in Newcastle: it rained solidly onto it when parked all day, and then continued to rain all the way home, and half-way back it started turning all the interior and exterior lights off periodically - just for a few seconds...

My mate just bought a cayman S (yeah, I know) and he gave his E39 528I to his dad.

His dad has an E34 525I Touring automatic with airco and two sunroofs (fancy option somewhere in the 1990-ties), good service history etc

He has it standing in the garage, about 110.000 miles, gathering dust.

Car is in Mapperley Park, Notts, available for the proverbial two pence and a bag of pork scratchings.
