Bad news is we have had an engine fire and waiting for RAC to attend, all under control.
Lap time available for tomorrow I guess.
My lads are continuing to Blu Nord look after them.
See you later.
Paul
Paul any update on your car, hope nothing to serious.

Paul's car seemed ok at the campsite but he wasn't there for a chat.
Passed him on the motorway between Sees and Rouen, engine lid up. Nowhere safely to stop but pulled in at the next services 2k along and Margaret phoned to see if assistance needed from her hire car

but he said temporary fix done and continuing to limp home. Not so good for Kit however. Sadly being flat-bedded home to Glasgow.
Regards
Mike

It's been mixed. Heavy rain this morning but brightened up by lunch and had a sun cream afternoon!

Hi , splitter number 15 here
Made it back to Reims, Biblical weather en-route and a Sat Nav that thought it would be a laugh to take us through the centre of Paris !
All good though, and now need to pick through a bunch of photos. Great to catch up again.....gotta go now though as there is a Cheeseburger with my name on it

Did anyone see the speedster get destroyed at Arnarge ??
We saw it all from the bank on Saturday eve, a Silver lancia (I think) span 180 out of Arnarge corner and ended up stalled facing the oncoming traffic on a very early lap.
Several race cars came into the corner and managed to avoid the stricken car on the exit, except a speedster driver who was virtually three abreast, the outermost cars avoided but the speedster had nowhere to go and hit the lancia full on, Huge bang and total devistation of the front of the speedster !!
Both drivers ok.
Marshals verrrry slow with the flags, not impressed, especially as a jag did the same and ended up stalked broadside at Arnarge for a very long time before the yellow flag came out.
Driver must have been really bricking it as GT40's etc came at him full chat !!
Exciting stuff.
Drove back 7.30 Sunday am to tunnel in the 356, rain biblical most of the way.
Glad I fitted new Michelins before the off !!
Great time though.
Steve

The return home drive has now been planned and a sanitary towel strategy adopted - pressing on whenever possible.

Back home safe. Nerves almost recovered. 1 fan belt failure. Fix at the side of the motorway. Car wouldn't start after lunch in Rouen. Jack up and change secret fuse. Fan belt is slipping as we go onto the euro tunnel. Change alignment. Generator stops generating an hour from home but we made it
