Thanks for the comments and encouragement, away from the pics the car is approaching the end of the welding phase, I still have pictures to post of front of car, but welding is mostly there now.. gearbox is currently being rebuilt, brakes have been sent off to America to be reconditioned, these were described as the worst corrosion the specialist had ever seen, clearly spoilt by sunshine state examples... these restored brakes will look weathered, albeit re-plated, however as long as they are functionally upto the task I am happy. The rest of he rear suspension is being sandblasted, to determine condition, the corrosion here is also significant, but I am hoping we remain upto the task.

Is there a record of how many 1968 911s cars there are given that they didn't ship to the US how do these numbers compare to 1967 911s cars in LHD and RHD?

looking at the corrosion around the bottom of the roof pillars, it would seem there was just a gust of wind between my car being a coupe and a targa!

after having provided good access to remove paint in the front luggage area, front panel is welding back in again.
