Well have to say I'm very dissapointed with Hagerty.
Their new policy does not allow track days, limits mileage for cars newer than 1990 to 3000pa and doesn't cover drivers under 30.
Oh and their premiums have gone up quite a bit following all these changes.
Will be changing on renewal tomorrrow so recommendations welcome. Classicline is looking favourite.
Shame as I raved about Hagerty and recommended them to a LOT of people. Had over 30 people email me in 2 days saying they'd be leaving on renewal because of the changes.

I have just renewed with Hagerty. There was £50 difference between them and the next one(!). Admittedly it has gone up £30 from last year, which went down £25 from the year before!
Just as a heads up for all going to CLM, even though you are covered to drive anyone else's car, who is insured through Hagerty for Europe, they suggested that I get my "co-driver" to be a named driver (free) as sometimes it can get lost in translation with the French police!

re-newed with Hagerty again as they are still the cheapest by a long way.
I love the fact i can speak to a person who knows me and has all my details in front of them so i dont have to repeat all the answers to those stupid questions every time i phone.
i also like the fact that i can lend my cars to anyone whos already has their own car insured with Hagerty without pre arranging it and without it costing either of us a penny.

not sure if it's required but, i always phone Hagerty before i go and inform them.rvzz wrote:Hi,
I'm with Hagertry at the moment . Does anyone know if I'm supposed to inform them if I take the car abroad ? ( This applies to the breakdown cover as well ) . This is my first year with them so I'm not sure if it's required.
thanks...Russ

it's always worth phoning around a few just to check but it seems there is a general upward trend in premiums this yearTimB wrote:Must echo Jason's comments above, just got my Hagerty renewal invitation in the post...... +21% on last year for exactly the same cover on a couple of cars and no claims in the last 12 months!
Is this an industry wide trend?
Any suggestions on alternatives would be appreciated.
Thanks
