I spent a few hours 'helping' Tim yesterday, the engine is now ready to go in!

Praying to the god of cam timing....

The picture they don't show you in the Dempsey book...

That feel good moment when you get your fixings back from the FeO2 platers and lay them out ready...

Massive Thanks to Gary71 for the day's invaluable assistance.
We made big steps forward yesterday, but I still have a long way to go today.

Another busy day has seen more progress, Some of the Megasquirt wining installed, the Coil pack, EDIS 6 and suppressor mounted and finally the engine and gear box installed :)
Many thanks to Smallspeed for his assistance today
The money shot ...

With the extra weight of the engine, the car now sits seriously low at the back, but with the un-adjusted height of the front still expecting to support the IB setup this is high !!
But I always knew that the rear suspension needed to be set properly but it does look 8) The front I'll definitely drop !!
Seriously though, despite a huge effort and massive progress, I don't think it would be best for the car too push on regardless. I think I'm going to admit now that whilst I could (Possibly !!??) achieve getting the car finished, that the finished product would suffer I am going to take my time and finish the rest at a bit slower pace and be happy just how close I now am to finishing.
Thanks to all that have been so helpful and thanks for the encouragement.
Tim

fantastic effort Tim
no point in rushing just for the sake of it, take stock of what you've done, and enjoy the progress, building its so much a part of the total process

Well done Tim. To think this was a shell with wiring issues a week ago. Take up Helens very kind offer of the S and enjoy C2C with the family rather than stress about it being finished. You need to spend time finishing it off and testing it properly so it is done to your specification and standard rather than thrown together to test it in a trial by fire on C2C.

So, you'll be ready for the next Midlands Breakfast Club then?

Stunning progress - but a good decision - enjoy the rest of the build and have a hassle free C2C

Wimp!

Chip Foose wouldn't give up! But then he does have 40 blokes working on the car at the same time.....

Good decision Tim - a 911 is for life not just for Christmas - best to get it done right the first time.
