Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Background to this is: a lot of us at Essen were really taken with a couple of Pur Sang reps.left4dead wrote:Probably not a Pur Sang version, eh Mike?
About £200k and indistinguishable from the real deal. Lovely cars.
You like 'em don't you Mike?

Agree about the mudguards though.
I went to view this two years ago and was speaking to Ollie Crossthwaite about it at Essen. It didn't sell and is now back with the owner who is the father of the guy that built it:

Probably still too shiny for you, Paul, although the colour probably suits (aren't you building a lime green car?!)

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
but then more realistically, found this today at quarter the price of the Pur Sang, and I love it. An MG supercharged TA
Q type, look at that dash, pointed tail, twin fuel fillers and seats, it's a steal if still available, wife's hidden my phone!

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
A couple of my mates have original Bugatti T35 Grand Prix cars. Lucky b*ggers. While I'll probably never be able to own one, I have had the privilege of passenger-ing in one up and down the UK. They are truly stunning...particularly when being driven with enthusiasm and skill
My mates both raced at Monaco Historique in 2010 and we road-tripped there and back from Bristol. Me in the 2.7RS - them in the Bugattis (with supporting truck!) The French absolutely loved them (free food and drink all round). And absolutely ignored me. Still remains an experience I'll never forget.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
That MG is lovely, Mike. And it's real....
One of the cars at Essen I kept going back to was a 1935 Armstrong Siddeley 5000 Blower. It was a one-off re-bodied saloon and the workmanship was incredible. I've only some cr*ppy Iphone shots so if anyone has anything better please post them!

Unfortunately, it was more expensive than a Pur Sang.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Rare to see something that I can't identify! There is something of the Alfa T33 (wheels) about it, but the engine's in the wrong place. Is it a South African special?Jasper wrote:
