Yes (Lindner Nocker). And at the same time the magic panel beaters built a facsimile which is now for sale (or at least it was last time I looked).

The car was crashed during a GT race at Montlhery in France and the driver, Peter Lindner, was killed.

They're supposedly building 5 replicas of the Lindner/Nöcker car ...

Wasn't the Original car scavenged for parts which were then built up into a replica, those original parts have now be reuinted with the original shell*, and the replica has been rebuilt using other parts to give them the car thats now for sale?

* And the shell was painstakingly unpicked, and rebuilt using as much original metal as possible.

Its quite a story. Not sure I'd want to race a car a guy died in though.

Yes, that's the E type I was refering to, great write-up in Octane recently.

I thought i had asked no more hot rods, makes me remember my UK roots with my Y type.

I want to see the A coupe!
Sold my 80% done A Sedan Tudor (31), chopped 3", V8 Jag rear, SuperBell front etc etc for my 911....

Ahem......well the lightweight we have all just seen at Essen was rather good.......so OK...as the owner of one backdate, I guess I can do another just to keep you all happy... :wink: ...just has to be in black....that OK ?
