Met Ant on Saturday for a sociable coffee in the sun and a couple of laps of Curborough Sprint course. The 2.7 MFI is really peppy in the 6-7k band, and grippy to boot. Awesome.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Went to take my '12 for a drive yesterday morning, fired up ok... engine made some unpleasent noises and now appears to be locked... obviously this occurred after I'd backed off the drive. Starter motor spins freely on igintion so I'm hoping the teeth have jammed against the flywheel. Spent 2hrs winching it back up my drive with a ratchet strap so it wasn't on the road overnight.

Will find out tonight when I take the stater motor off...

Phew… got off lightly there, circlip that holds the starter motor gear had broken. Gear and spring resting on the flywheel.

Twin outlet exhaust box replaced with single outlet. Sounds quieter in the garage but need to drive it to check for absence of droning.

Also greased the throttle linkage pivot on the gearbox while the SC was in the air
'79 Targa - restoration now mainly complete & being driven

Doing the near opposite to that today.
Have a Pass-Out to go solo to Shelsley Walsh hillclimb in the 911, so 2 in 3 out time!
Might be the last outing for the car in 2023, but hoping for a few clear winter days before the salt invades.

Bill (kirklands904) climbing Shelsley Walsh in our 914/6 in his 85th year. 😎
His own 904FF is still not repaired after an argument with the Shelsley scenery a couple of years ago.
I’ve had a busy day being Owner/Team manager/mechanic/carer, and have to repeat the process in the wet tomorrow! 🙂

Joined over 40 other 356s at the Classics at the Castle event earlier today, and even managed to travel down in convoy with Greg’s beautiful A. Whilst it perhaps wasn’t the best CATC event we’ve attended, it’s always great to see a significant gathering of 356s, along with all the other ‘KG’ classics. The Porsche car park was pretty full too, so great to see the event continue to be supported.

Well, who'd have guessed that. My radio does still work above 2k revs - I can actually hear it now, with the replacement exhaust back box

Fitted right wing mirror and led side lights to my 914.

Tapatalk isn't allowing me to add pictures from my gallery. Is anyone else having this issue?

Went on a charity drive on Sunday called the Distinguished Gentlemans Drive it a global event for pre 1980s cars raising money for men’s health. Some really interesting cars and a good Porsche contingent Image

Bracket made and fitted. It will probably be next week before I wire it in. I suspect I will need the tachometer adapter? Image
