As usual life's got in the way with house building, setting up a new company etc. but now finally have some time for a long overdue update.
Car was finally finished around autumn 2017, I'm using the term finished loosely here as will become apparent during upcoming updates.
Anyhow, I only collected it from Sweden the following summer, basically its maiden voyage after the refresh was some 1500 km's down to Zurich which thankfully passed surprisingly uneventful. Then shortly after it was time for CLM, on the way there the oil pressure light came on which worried me as the engine was freshly rebuilt at this point, took my chances and continued the journey and whilst back home I measured the pressure and could confirm it was just a faulty pressure switch, that brave pill clearly paid off this time
Car then re-entered as my daily for a few years and an annoying clonk appeared in the rear suspension, spent forever trying locating the sound to no avail, disconnecting rear sway bar, checking that new wheel bearing outer races were properly seated in the swing arms etc. etc. Finally it was time for the Swiss version of MOT and this is where the story is becoming somewhat uncomfortable
