The wheels, 5.5J 15inch fuchs are off being restored in east sussex at Hodore Farm, have been re-annodised and should be painted over the next couple of weeks...

... some decisions to make here about the tyres, do I go for the best handling option, 185/65 front, 195/60 rear, or a more classic feel with Michelin MXV4s or 185/70 Vredesteins? any thoughts or experiences here ?

This is a very interesting thread to see and absorb, but also to compare with the Ferryman RS shell build.

I say this because you can see the huge hours and skill in cutting and letting in good metal nicely formed v a huge brand-new panel and the relative costs of DIY time v Pro Time.

I would be patching (and have on my 911 shell a long time ago) because that's me, love bodywork and do not have a cellette!

Hats off to both approaches.

Please keep the pics and progress coming, it is great to see.
