Just a quick update, things are continuing to rattle on at a steady pace:

A package arrived today; sent from the most helpful Mr Don Weaver at EBS Racing in Reno USA - filled with good stuff which I swiftly delivered to Nick at Redtek:

Also, Barry has been super busy over the last couple of weeks and much progress has been made - the front end and battery boxes have been suitably backdated and are now zipped up:

Offside Kidney Bowl, backdated Sill and A-Post are now complete:

and the OS rear quarter has been stitched in - Barry opting to retain the pristine gutter rail:

As ever Barry's craftsmanship is just top notch :)

Barry is now at the list stage and whilst there's still a bit to do the end is now in sight and I'm hoping to collect the car within the next couple of weeks :)

Being the eternal optimist and probably very wishful thinking however I'm still dreaming of the car being ready for CLM

Cheers,
Darren

Lovely work as ever :)

What's the tab half way along the bottom edge of the 1/4 window flange? Mine doesn't have one!

Just part of the pressing I assume to secure the panel during shipping, there is also one in the engine compartment flange. They are removed once fitting is completed.

Kind regards

That's the late 60's early 70's ankle strap mounting for young guns on the pull. That's why you don't have one
Rare accessory

Mike

What a day! - Barry has finished his magic so I went to pick up my baby today......

Image

After a final strip down...

Image

It was loaded...

Image

and safely covered for transportation...

Image

Shouldn't forget the Barry goodbye - this is rebuild number???...

Image

Interesting to look back on how far things have come...

A-Post area...

Image Image

Nose and floorpan...

Image Image

Rear Parcel Shelf...

Image Image

Once back safe, sound and dry in our workshop...

Image

...it passed it's final inspection with flying colours...

Image

Now time for some paint...

Image

I wanted to say thank you although I've just had to delete six lines of gushing praise for Barry

So, in short - Barry your work is outstanding, your skill is simply awesome, I love the fact you care as much as I do and I couldn't be happier with all you've done - Barry Carter, you're THE MAN 8)

Barry's so good he even offered to look after this for a couple of weeks (well, after a bit of persuasion!)...

Cheers,
Darren
