Don't really know the manufacturer of the silencer, as I picked it up from a fellow DDK'er....
I suspect it's a standard mild steel Dansk though, painted by johnm (another DDK'er). It sounds glorious but without the stridency that you get with a SS system.
When I think about it I have SO many DDK'ers to thank for bits and pieces and help along the way in bringing this car to fruition.

And here's a bit of the filler that fell off:
At least we now know why the quarter panel and the door edge didn't line up properly. Plus there's a bit of rot around the jacking point on the left side.
Lee (Autoclassica) will straighten the cill line as he repairs the rot and get the panel to align with the cill and the door edge
On the bright side - removing the filler will save some weight
Will it ever end?

That filler looks fresh and creamy, do we know who applied it in such generous portions ?

Car was bought 'blind' from Andy via DDK way back in August. I've only ever bought 2 cars blind - and both have been from Andy - he's such a trustworthy source

A search for an engine identified a 3.0 hi-comp motor, bought off DDK-er Brembo. Relatively fresh rebuild and maybe 220-230bhp on SSI's?
So, I ended up with an engine-less car in mid-Wales, bought off a Londoner, and an engine in Kendal, Cumbria, bought off a Scotsman, with me in North Yorkshire. I like a challenge!
Just about all the pieces are now with RS911, ready to be nailed together.
Almost ready for painting - except I've changed my mind (again
) and it will be Ivory White rather then Silver.
The motor - needs a bit of a clean up.
Plan is to add ITG filters.
I already have a set of SSI's (courtesy of Mr Perkles on Impact Bumpers and DDK)

RS911 will be bringing the car to a 'ready to go. MOT'd' standard before delivery, expected mid/late January next.
There will be a 'few' bits to sort before the MOT - door 'glass' and lifting straps; C12 brakes (possibly); battery; clutch; fuelling and no doubt a zillion other things will all help fill the time during unemployment and recuperation.

Only a minor setback.... bet many of the cars in the affordable bracket on here and elswhere would have a deal of filler in them somewhere ...
Body work to a zero filler standard is really a myth unless one is paying HUGE money, and even then high build primer products can disguise many a slip. Remember back in the day lead was the filler of choice and modern polyester weighs less than that
Still you've found it , have an opportunity to address it and the sill area, whats underneath looks pretty solid so not too bad.
Still love this car and what you and others have done to it

Similar story to yours Mick,had so called 'specialist' body shop' carry out conversion work to my car. Copious amounts of fillers used(12mm in some areas),atrocious paintwork and parts not fixed back onto car properly.This resulted in another company removing glass,and stripping back to bare metal,re-shaping some of the metal work,and complete re-spray.Worth it in the end,all be it a wee bit stressful at the time.It's a pity these companies can't be named and shamed.if only to prevent others from using there "specialist skills"

I'm wanting some Corrosion cutting out of my car and rewelding but its finding someone you can trust.
Can anyone recommend anyone South Yorkshire or any Yorkshire Area not too far away from Doncaster / Sheffield ish.
Anybody used Specialist Cars of Maltons Bodyshop? used them some mechanical fitment with no problems.

Dean, Fenn Lane Motorsport did my front wings for the backdate, and at the same time cut out a bit of rot and replaced it with new metal. That was two years ago and around 3000 miles, and the repairs are still like new.
They are in Nuneaton, takes me an hour and twenty minutes from Doncaster.
