Cheers. Was great to see you all and we had a good time after I'd wound down from 4 hours driving to get there.
. The next one is at a weekend!
Everybody enjoyed the food too which is why I wanted to eat there. I'd been out at a Nepalese place in Woking the night before and this was miles better and a third of the price.
For the next one in April I'll be looking to do something in Leicestershire or Warwickshire that has a big car park so we can actually bring our cars.
Gaydon or Coventry Transport museum with outside catering anyone?

Thanks James for organising a great night out, the food was excellent. Shame you couldn't stay a little longer as I took Timo and Derek to a great little real ale pub afterwards. Just realised Derek,you broke your new years res not to drink

how about the plough in enderby?.. ok, ok, i know it doesnt sound to indian, but its along the same lines as the indian near H&L's place that we went to before Christmas, and they have a big garden out the back, and (believe it or not) a beer garden!..
i think its called aspects (or aspects at the plough or something)
I've been there a couple of times and the food is always pretty good and the service is great.. its prob £15-20 a head inc a couple of beer if you go for starters and all the rest of it.. Its not the full indian experience like my local or the belgrave road, but its dead easy to get to, has a decent vibe, carpark, and as its only just off the M1 / M69 we might get a few visitors from outside the county too

A great night (and restaurant) , I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the whole street with it's multitude of eating places, asian supermarkets, occasional very loud street racers and Guiness at £2.00 a pint !
I regret not bringing a camera - maybe too concerned about theft, but can report that every local that I met was very friendly, obliging and not at all as I remember when I lived in Brum.
Will come back for more.

so you checked out the gourmet society?.. its WELL worth joining
the plough is just around the corner from a mates house so we've been there a couple of times.. always been good
