I’m pretty sure he could never sell a Porsche with a diarrhoea interior. Well, that’s what he told me anyway......

Interesting read.
Not sure how the car has the original RS chassis number but a donor car was used to repair it, but this finished car has the original number, so must be cut and weld?
Looks to be a nice car mind.

VIN plate number stamping are incorrect and the rear slam panel is from a later car. When it was resprayecshame they didn't keep it the original yellow.

So a 911T with RS bits is worth £81k but an RS chassis number on a similar car makes it worth double and the bidding is still going up? You can see the appeal of doing this kind of stuff.

That’s the RS chassis number on another shell car.

Not sure 1/4 million quid is cheap for that!

Exactly my thoughts too.
The good thing though is it is all declared up front, so no surprised later in life, but what a price it achieved!

Could you buy a real one today for that?

It was a very interesting sale an this is what makes CC so interesting, the price transparency. It's a 911T shell with an RS chassis number cut out and added. Matching engine block, non matching gearbox. May be eligible for FIA papers and events as an RS which is where the value of this might be higher than a good replica. The buyer popped up on PHs - bought unseen and without an inspection and appreciates there was risk involved and was happy with it. I think the seller did well but as long as they are both happy, that is what matters.
The force is strong in this one ......

Yes, if both sides are good, deal done.
240K is a lot to go 'unseen', some work on a different budget level!

I owned this about 10 years ago and have loads of happy memories of trips and tours. Looked way cooler back then with a flat lid, S bumper and no silly stickers.

It’s not what you’d call ‘all original metal’ but if you win it Graham you’ll have a ball.
