Gulp! Reminds me of a golf I ran away from near Doncaster... we made our own 30mm dropped cups. Same result AND went round corners without drama

"Didn't have the money round to buy a Morry Thou"
Yes, a Morris Minor engined slingshot. The dragster has a certain notorietry taking the first pass down the newly opened Santa Pod in '66.
Rootes blown and built for £35. 8)

My first car, a Morry Thou. £125.
A green car, with a cream wing, a red wing, a blue door & a white door.
Spray painted it myself to red all over but with a hint of orange (peel).
Took me all over the country, till I blew up the gearbox and had to replace the 'box with a £5 one from the scrapyard. Happy days
I've got a picture somewhere...

Stripduster was built as they say ‘on a shoestring’ for the grand sum of £35.00 Harold purchased the original Morris Minor 1000, engine for £1.00 from a small garage just up the road. Originally it was 948cc but it was bored out to 998cc.The Guy said it was in his way and accepted a pound for Harold to take it away!!! Bargain.
