In an effort to cure bad fuel surge on sharp corners (ie, Sawbench and Martini at Wiscombe Park!), extended the float chamber vents to prevent fuel slopping out and flooding the carbs, and dropped float level from 10mm to 13/14mm on the recommendation of Ron Fleming, formerly of FAT Performance, who's probably built more Type 4 engines with IDFs for off-road racing than anyone...

Felt like 2019 again … great to see all the old cars out being ragged over 200 miles of the best roads England if not the U.K. have and great to see friends we’ve not seen for far too long.
