Although the seats pans and rear shelf survived remarkably rot free there was corrosion in the very rear most corners.
By this time, the magicians of metal, were rather enjoying the delights of working with all new panels and fresh steel.
When I asked them to repair the rusted sections they observed that complete rear shelf sections were being made by Restoration Design and wouldn't I care to buy one of those too. :)
I pressed them to fix the decay and retain the original. The corners were duly fixed as good as new. 8)

The rear section was welded in and the tub begins to take on a familiar shape.

A bit more decay is consigned to the bin.

You don't often get this view of a 911. :)

Looks rather like the back end of my targa.....I think there might be time yet to convert it....go on, you know you want to :-)

Amazing amount of metal work on this, looks really high quality as you'd expect from them too.

An awesome resto job Paul.....

Paul, You'll have to make sure no one gets hold of all the metal you've cut out and claim they have the 'real' #197 as they have more of it than you.!
