Didn't realise you'd got another early car Jason - any more photos/details ?

It’s a 1970 2.2S Andy done as the McQueen Le Mans film car (it’s only 800 off that car) although I’ve just changed the scoops. Full bare metal nut and bolt restoration..

Was in Classic Porsche mag back in 2017 I think. Had only done 500 miles since finished. It’s done more now :)

That looks very nice Jason - the 2.2S is a great road car - who did the restoration ?

went to the Shelsley Walsh Breakfast Meeting this morning.
Traffic getting there, crowds when there!

505 of the cars there were repmobiles, but some nice bits too!

It was all overseen and put together by Alan at Canford but believe the shell and paint were all done by Tony Littlejohn at GTR Motorsport who did the full resto on my 964RSR, Mike Bainbridge did the fresh gearbox build and Bob Watson did the engine. Every single piece is either new or restored. Like driving a new 1970 car, enjoying it!

Neil,
I believe the fixings are shown on the PET diagram, M5 x 20mm bolt with a special spacer, M5 washer and nut if I am reading it correctly.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

A few days ago, with pandemic restrictions being partially lifted, I took my 911 and a friend on a 650 km overnight roundtrip from Zurich to the Jura region in France

Image

While being there, we´ve added another 200 km to the trip on an open pit lane track day at Circuit de Bresse

Car didn´t miss a beat and we had a blast!

Thank you James

The picture may be deceiving. Luckily no dirt roads in the Jura. Just old worn out tarmac. Great for aquaplaning! 8)

On the track we were too busy driving to take pictures. I had to even nick that one picture from the organiser's event day photo gallery (see here https://www.sportfahrer.ch/fotos/circuit-de-bresse-1/)

We recorded some of our driving though. Here is an example from late afternoon, when most other participants had already left: https://www.flickr.com/photos/44895305@ ... 852982422/

Looks really slow

Cheers
