Quite liked BLU 1E which was available..... only problem was the £29,000 they wanted for it!

How are you enjoying the car? Any decisions on the exhaust / silencer / CAT options?
If you need any sound clips let me know and I will try and find or ask for realistic representations from 911UK. There have been a few posted over the years.

Wow Tom, now that's really spooky!
Literally sat here now in a cafe in deepest darkest Kent whiling away the morning as the technicians at Fast Road in Ashford fit 200 cell sports cats, they seem to be the experts and so far so good!
Left home this morning at the crack of sparrows without waking anybody, hopefully that's about to change. A little more of a burble would be good, it's a bit too quiet for my liking, and I'm told the new cats are more free flowing giving a improvement in throttle response, we'll see shortly.
Was thinking about doing the by-pass mod as well but Fast Road said no, try the cats first and see how you get on, seems sensible.
Otherwise all good, everything seems so solid after the Ferrari, if a little heavy perhaps and still getting used to the rear weight bias again on fast bends. Still messing with tyre pressures trying to dial out a little more tram-lining, think I'm still too low at 34psi hot at the front.
Looking forward to the run back home, will report back later!

I'd be very interested to hear how you get on with the 200 cell cats, as it's something that I've been considering for a while.

Never mind all that, what's the P3R5ON4L153D plate say?

Tom (Tp81) can't thank you enough for your recommendation, had a great drive home!
I'd read all the bumpf on-line about the sports cats mod, but Tom did seem particularly impressed so thought I'd give them a go. Have to say couldn't believe the difference, as I pulled away from the workshop immediately the car felt more responsive, lighter more agile, never felt a transformation like it. As for the noise, it was just what I wanted. A little deeper tone on idle, a little more rasp when blipped, but no real difference in the cabin at cruising speed, so perfect really.
Put the tyres up to 36/38 psi hot for the run back and better, but actually couldn't help thinking it's the state of the M25 not the 18" wheel setup!
Ashford's not far from the Chunnel, the car did feel like it just wanted to keep going, still not done the San Bernardino Pass....... oh, and Sam, don't get too excited about the plate, I did check but 2 BLU wasn't available.

Excellent!
Good decision to change the cats, some will not pick up on the differences but they are significant.
Pleased to hear that the sound is as you had hoped.
Enjoy.

Haven't updated here for a while, so here was the car last week!
It had gone to Topaz Detailing in North London to have the paint protection film on it removed. The film covered the entire front half of the car but it got damaged so decided to take it off. The guys there are the experts at 'PPF' so it all came off without a problem and then they spent a couple of days mopping and polishing the paint, came up looking fantastic and really pleased.
Have to say the 993 was the poor relation in there, every type of supercar imaginable, particularly liked the blue carbon Pagani Huayra. What was really surprising though was the number of early Porsche's in there for film protection, couple of 911's, 356's and an RSR. The latest technology film I have to to say is amazing, very hard to tell these days between a panel with it on and one without, Topaz also make a point of dismantling all the exterior parts they can so the film goes under, you cannot find a join anywhere, incredible work!
Here's mine being unwrapped, who'd have though the film would come off in one piece like that......
In other news, had a new windscreen put in so I can see where I'm going now, but the best news is finally got it sounding like I wanted! The sports cats definitely helped it feel livelier but still not quite what I wanted. A very kind DDK'er offered me a pair of Michael Roock back boxes and they transformed it, great burble at idle, a little popping on the over run and nothing intrusive at high speed, just perfect!
Now just waiting for the new steering wheel to be re-covered........
